The museum also invites you to come for special events throughout the year.
Fête de la Musique, Nuit des Musées, Journées Européennes du Patrimoine, exhibitions, evening gatherings, reading sessions and training courses are some of the ways of getting the feel of the museum.
The Educational department has specific activities for the young visitor.

Getting here
Free car park Place du Foirail 400m from the museum (at the top of rue de Colomb).
No parking on Place Champollion (except for weekday deliveries before 10 am).
Accessibility
Disabled parking available 150 m from the museum Place Carnot (Place de la Halle).
The museum is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility: lift, wheelchairs, and folding stools are provided for your comfort during your visit. Touch screens throughout the museum provide additional information.

Calligrapher’s instruments supplied by major workshops in Peking, Jingdezhen and Xian, books on scripts from all over the world, reproductions of Egyptian artifacts, curios and games : a wide selection of objects is available to suit all budgets.
